Alamo Canal Trail I-580 Undercrossing

The cities of Pleasanton and Dublin, East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD), Zone 7 Water Agency, and Caltrans worked together to create a trail connection under I-580 to connect Pleasanton and Dublin.

This joint project provides Pleasanton residents an alternate route to the Iron Horse Trail in Dublin. It also provides visitors to Pleasanton non-motorized, off-street access to various areas in the City, such as Val Vista Community Park, the Alameda County Fairgrounds, and Downtown/Main Street.

The grand opening of the project was held on October 27, 2012.  The project was funded by Pleasanton, Dublin, East Bay Regional Park District, and grants from the Alameda County Transportation Commission.
