Apply to Become Pleasanton's Poet Laureate or Teen Poet Laureate

Pleasanton is seeking both a Teen Poet Laureate and a Poet Laureate.

The Teen Poet Laureate post is for Pleasanton teens in their junior or senior year at high school. It is an exciting program and a wonderful opportunity to plan poetry readings and help others to develop an appreciation for reading, writing, and listening to the great art of poetry.

To apply, fill out an application located at http://www.firehousearts.org/programs/literary-arts, and turn it in to the Community Services office at 200 Old Bernal, Attention: Julie Finegan. DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 17, so hurry!

Are you a creative Pleasanton resident who would like to enhance the appreciation of literary arts in your community?

The City of Pleasanton is now accepting applications for the honorary post of Poet Laureate.
The Poet Laureate provides poetry at civic events such as public dedications and ceremonies and coordinates poetry readings. You must be a resident of Pleasanton, published, and affiliated with an organization associated with the advancement of literary arts.
