NEW STATE LAW-SB 1186
The State of California has enacted SB 1186 (Dutton; Special access: liability), a new law which imposes a $1.00 State fee on every applicant for a local business license or renewal (including all in-city commercial and home-based, all exempts, all non-profits, landlords, out-of-city, and all contractors) and is required to be collected by all cities and counties throughout California, including the City of Pleasanton. This new law requires that you be provided the following notices:

Business License Information
The City Business License office is located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue in the Civic Center campus near the Library and Police Station. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The general number is (925) 931-5440.
In accordance with the City license and taxation ordinance, any person conducting business within the City of Pleasanton is required to have a business license on file. This ordinance also applies to those businesses advertising a Pleasanton address as their physical location and/or using a Pleasanton address for business mailing purposes.
